These are our standard T&Cs for Wedding Dress Orders

  1. Payment

Butterfly Bridal Boutique welcomes payment by cash, direct bank-transfer and the following credit and debit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Solo and Maestro.

  1. Initial Payment

At Butterfly Bridal Boutique we require a 50% non-refundable initial payment to enable us to place your dress order with the designer.

This initial payment is non-transferable.

  1. Balance Payment

The remaining balance of your order is to be settled within 14 days of us notifying you that your wedding dress is due to be shipped. Any delays in making payment could delay the shipping of your wedding dress. Guideline delivery dates are indicated on your order confirmation.

We will contact you to inform you when your wedding dress is due to be shipped and final payment is due.

At the same time we will arrange a suitable date and time for you to collect your dress and confirm your seamstress choice – please see separate guideline information.

  1. Storage

At Butterfly Bridal Boutique we offer a fully-insured storage facility @ £15.00 per month should you request your wedding dress to arrive prior to standard alteration times.


We are able to hold your dress for no longer than 2 weeks free of charge.

  1. Acceptance of Order

We will require our Terms & Conditions to be signed to enable us to place your order.

  1. Delivery

Standard delivery times vary with each designer, approximately 16-20 weeks, unless stated otherwise. Please note that Christmas & Easter holidays add extra weeks to the lead time. The anticipated delivery is noted on your order confirmation.

  1. Refunds and Exchanges

Unfortunately, once your order has been placed, we are unable to cancel it. Therefore, full payment is required at the time your dress is due for delivery at Butterfly Bridal Boutique.

  1. Size

The dress size(s) have been determined by bust, waist and hip measurements taken today.

It is your responsibility to maintain your size. Failure to do so will be reflected in alterations and therefore attract additional alteration costs.

  1. Alterations

At Butterfly Bridal Boutique we have several seamstresses who we recommend for any alterations that your wedding dress may require. Be assured that these ladies have been working on wedding dresses for many years. Please note, although they are recommended by Butterfly Bridal Boutique it is not our responsibility for the alterations that are carried-out.

Your alteration contract is between yourself and the seamstress so any questions with regards to alterations or costs should be made direct to your chosen seamstress.


Guideline charges will be provided in our seamstress information pack.


Please note: You must attend your fitting with the shoes and underwear you intend to wear on your wedding day as both affect the fitting of your dress. Failure to do so may result in additional fees.

  1. Collection

Once your wedding dress has been removed from Butterfly Bridal Boutique it is no longer our responsibility. Therefore, please ensure you are happy with your dress upon collection.
